When I was a teen, I came across an old photo album and discovered a set of photographs of my grandmother and mom when they first moved to the United States. The photos looked beautiful and something felt different. It felt nostalgic and raw. That’s when I started to ask myself, “Why isn’t our generation we photographing like this anymore?” This experience ignited a spark in my heart and I started to document life differently.
